Wahh... I wanna cry already. I feel so like a failure. There was the blitz competition yesterday. I went alone cuz Rachel's father didn't allow her to take part, Dawn was overseas, I couldn't contact Carmen (Dunno wat the hell.. Jus couldn't her bloody line.) and I dunno Ashley's number. The waiting time in between the games was so damn boring. For 11 rounds, I "achieved" 2.5points. I put the quotations marks there cuz I feel that I didn't really deserve the points. Cuz the 1st point was that my opponent ran out of time.. Blitz what.. Only 5 minutes per player, no wonder she ran out of time. So I was just lucky cuz I only had 5seconds left. Then the second point was...... guess what? A BYE point! I didn't need to play and I get a point! So, I didn't deserve that either. Then the last and only 1/2 point was a draw! In conclusion, I didn't even win a single board in that competition!!!! Aargh.... I am so demoralised. So disappointing. I was placed 72nd out of 78 players?!?! So bad. Oh, did I disgrace the SC name?? I hope not. Today, the rapid competition. 20minutes per player. I took part in the Minor section. More common-aged people as me larh. But WORSE!!! More pressure! Cuz I had to win something... At least one game, right?! I don wanna end up with a zero for SC. In the MINOR section... Rachel, Ofelia, Serene and Elizabeth (the one from IJ TP) came too. Ok, not so boring after all... It's fun!! Friendly matches in between rounds. Loved them. Nice to meet people with common interests. Cuz, you know what?? They are girls after all. Majority of the chess players were boys. Damn irritating. I mean... they are either soooo quiet that you'll think they're mutes (no offence) or so damn talkative that they talk non-stop during the game.. Ok ok, back to the topic... the competition. For 7 rounds, I scored 1.5 points. Ok, again, I didn't manage to pass (by getting at least 3.5 points). But I'm more satisfied with my performance for this competition... cuz i won one game. at least it's a real checkmate !! not the lucky BYE point. Whee.... Ok, but it's only one game.. I've got to buck up. No disgracing the SC Chess Club.. >;p Gonna go rest now. Sorta tired after the games. Byez... xinying ploughed through her empty list at 8:21 pm
