Haha. I was surfing Wikipedia again. Hui Yu and I are like Wikipedia freaks?! LOL.

The featured picture today is again somewhere in Normandy, France. Haha. Thet like Normandy so much? Yesterday, it was like their prison, now a memorial.

Oh, and I checked up on D-Day that was 5th June in some historic year. I was wondering what it was for the whole of last night and this morning. Hui Yu, it's not Germany's loss larhx! ~~What crapx!~~ Oops. Sorry. just kidding. It's just their planned invasion date.

In English military parlance, D-Day is a term often used to denote the day on which a combat attack or operation is to be initiated. While the initial D in D-day does not stand for anything, it often represents a variable, designating the day upon which some significant event will or has occurred; see Military designation of days and hours for similar terms, e.g. A-Day and L-Day.

By far, the best known D-Day is June 6, 1944 (not 5th june what!) — the day on which the Battle of Normandy (again) began — commencing the Western Allied effort to liberate mainland Europe from Nazi (Erhms.) occupation during World War II. However, many other invasions and operations had a designated D-Day, both before and after Operation Overlord. D-Day was supposed to be on June 5, 1944 but bad weather and heavy seas delayed that. (Ha! It's God's will. So my birthday brought peace. Even Germany could not attack France! So nice. [:)

The Allies proposed invasions of Japan that would have begun on "XDay" (Kyushu, scheduled for November 1945) and "YDay" (Honshu, scheduled for March 1946). [Haha. XY!!!]
