i've got so much backlog (courtesy of matthew), i don't know where to start! tuesday and wednesday. STREET MAGIC WORKSHOP. the magician uhhh... omg i forgot his name, after 2 whole days of coaching?! o.O ok my memory is really failing me. this is badd :x ok anyway the tricks he tried teaching us were, i would say, too amateurish? because it's not only us who could tell how he did it before he revealed the secret behind it, even our beloved friends could point it out when we performed it the second time around. however, we cannot deny that some of the tricks were really cool! separating two interlocking rubber bands in a split second, for example. that really caused jaws to drop, even though i'm still not quite fluid at it. :D ok maybe amateurish wasn't that appropriate a word. maybe it's because there's too much set-up involved, especially for the card tricks, so it's difficult to perform them offhand, without any prior preparation behind the scenes. (: another thing was that there was too much buffer time, when he went around helping people or simply went mia, and we got really bored during those periods of nothingness. maybe it wasn't a bad thing, because in a bid to relieve our boredom, we turned around unthinkingly to ask people to play bridge with us. then we started blabbering nonsense with our new-found bridge kakis, like intron (i seriously cannot remember his name omg. :x) and sarah and kaiyun's 4-1 friends! that's where red and hard came about. when sarah wanted diamonds to be dealt, and she yelled "give me some red and hard!!" at first, we were stunned and going like "what in the world is she talking about?" then we realised what she meant, and it wasn't before long that we got red and squishy, black and sharp, and black and edible LOL. all those clear yet not so subtle hints :p we were really crazy. and kaiyun picked up bridge again and got really addicted, she couldn't wait to play again every time we put down the cards and kept exclaiming about how she missed a large part of life until now. HAHAHAHA funny girl :D we had to perform on wednesday. there was this guy who was hilarious. he failed, say, 3 times? i don't exacly remember his first 2 NGs but the magician was largely picking on the volunteer he chose. then he switched to performing another trick after 2 failed attempts, and tried to toss 4As from the deck. it was the easiest trick and he was so confident, until he dropped all the cards on the floor by accident lol. seriously disasters never strike singly. :D i shouldn't be laughing because i myself failed at the 2 decks trick twice in front of everyone too. it was most embarrassing omg :X anyway, he made up for it by telling us a very entertaining story on how the 4 knights (represented by 4 Kings) could help find the audience's card.
