ok i need to hurry hurry a bit. 3 weeks of backlog is no joke.

4december2009, friday

lol, that date heading makes it look like some diary entry. but well, i'm blogging about my life. so i guess it fits in with a diary context (: anyway this day came the long-awaited meet with ex-german buddies! :D

we decided to shop at tanglin mall for food before going to botanics for a grand picnic. but problem #1: how do i get to tanglin? that was my first D: but i figured that 132 will take me there after looking at the busstop billboards, so my D: turned into a relieved (: it didn't last long though, because halfway as i was drawing near orchard, it started to drizzle. then the drizzle turned into a shower. there goes my picnic? nooo D: then i turned around and saw tanglin mall. ahhh miss my busstop! never mind, i pressed the bell, thinking either stops are the same (: this is the epic part: the bus stopped at the next bus stop. one guy (stranger) and i were waiting to alight, but the door didn't open. hm? then the driver stepped on the accelerator and moved on. the guy looked super shocked and yelled at the driver. i was thinking: maybe it's not supposed to stop here, nvm (: when i walked back and past by this fateful busstop, i saw that the number 132 on the signpost. i was like !??! so the guy was right, the bus was supposed to stop here DD: then in a flurry to catch the green man (it's awful to wait for the traffic lights to turn green in that storm), i stepped hard into a puddle of rainwater. my DD: turned into DDD: so much for a morning adventure!

but that was it, fortunately. "after the sun, the rain; after the rain, the sun." i love the sc school song, it's so meaningful (:

chatted with hyeon and esther for quite awhile. we were total hoggers, sat in the food court for at least 2 hours without spending a single cent x) esther's island-hopping trip in greece was super intriguing and kept us entertained for damn long. or rather, we kept pestering her for more details :p seriously, there's so much to catch up with :x then we had a good laugh about how cherie described the climate outside as a "storm", how she was at botanics and then still at kiliney an hour later. but we met up eventually (: hyeon was super funny. she actually asked cherie what clothes she's wearing so that we could find her, as if she's setting up some blind date LOL. funny girls, still as cute as ever :D

we really spent our day standing outside mall entrances, like outside tanglin mall, outside wheelock, then outside lido HAHA (: we stood outside ndyc for a pretty long time too, staring at the empty tables and wondering when they'll let us in for the mushroom day meal lol.

we seriously can't bear to leave towards the end. stood in front of lido for at least 10 minutes before we hugged each other goodbye and went separate ways. cherie kept mumbling "i really need to leave now" from time to time, cos she's running late for her next appointment. HAHA but you can tell she doesn't want to leave too. so sad ): the outing ended in less than 5 hours, i think. so short, plus thwarted plans :/ another meeting before school reopens and we resume the loathsome routines? hopefully we have plan b should there be unfavourable weather conditions again :p
