friday.

a week has flown by. it's amazing how i didn't notice it until i saw my fb status "xinying chen wonders if she's crazy" dated last saturday. and as my good friend has coined it, it hasn't been a "very normal week". x) well, no one had expected it to, anyway. so i guess we should be glad we had gotten by on fairly mild terms. (:

friday's bridge was epic. practice was normal. then we did really well for the first few boards of team match. there were hiccups here and there, like how i took a 4th suit force (which supposedly asks for 3-card support in partner's suit) as just game-forcing (which is ok.) then i anyhow seek slam and ended up putting yifei in a 5NT that's almost impossible to make. D: well, that's if not for daren's self-endplay and self-triple squeeze, it'll never have been made. after he'd done that, he threw down his cards and claim lose all lol. daren is so crazy! so that's a very good score :p suddenly from board 6 onwards, i got really tired and couldn't even differentiate 3S from 4S. so to cash or not to cash after we've taken 3 tricks? i dunno. lol. fail :/

solution: write the contract as big as possible for every board. like this:

dinner at curry wok. sick conversations resonating everywhere, eeks. haha! but the most shocking thing i heard over dinner should be that: kah hong actually volunteered to be 花童! LOLLL, isn't that the ultimate self-ko? funny how we like to self-niao sometimes (: but well, that's what makes the conversation fun :D then just as we were chatting and eating, we realised the curry was diminishing at an amazing rate (all slapped up by yifei. sneakaye!). haha, so fun, can imagine us reminiscing about these times next time. couldn't help laughing when yuanxi was talking about some of the past lame jokes we made last time already. (:
