1st gg (general gathering. lols.) in 2010! i had a good mind to pon but i went anyway. it's our first gg after all, how can i miss it? and i'd count myself lucky that i didn't! (:

this is what happened. after a multitude of announcements, the president asked us to proceed towards the classrooms to meet the teachers (and we had the strictest teacher with us D: like omg, what will be the consequences if she found out that i ponned without a valid reason?!). but surprisingly, we had the most lively discussion i've seen, in the presence of a teacher. came up with quite sound suggestions for our most pressing problems. kudos to the club section (:

joey was really keen on the ice cream cake (we celebrated for september to january babies today. LOLs!) and she literally gasped at the mention of it (even in the presence of our most feared teacher :D). well, she didn't suppress all her anticipation in vain. the cake was really good *smacks lips* :p

bridge training wasn't very productive though, because i hardly played. and yen seow left in a huff in the middle of the second board with me. well, i guess we shouldn't be so critical sometimes. cutting comments don't reflect well on ourselves and they, of course, tend to hurt others. so yea, just hold your judgements back a bit. it ain't that difficult, really. well, i like to look at the whole picture before i make a conclusion (according to the fb birthdate app). i think it's good practice, maybe you should try that too (:

OH but somehow, yifei and i bidded and made a few partials (when others would jolly well have gone to game and went -1 with those hands), both before and after interact meeting. for both boards, i had invitational hand, no better. but with distributional hand, i was considering raising to game level. then feel advised me against it (too much influence from KH, haha!). so 3H= and 3S= when it could have been 4H -1 and 4S -1 :p haha, partials pair of the day, i guess. hi fives (:

ahh i miss ig6! i guess recent return to commserve and club meeting rekindled those feelings. it's been at least a month since we last gathered as a whole i-group (even now, not everyone was present! hopefully, we can have a real "family" reunion really soon). cherng yew, can you please bring another set of clothes next time? don't torture our noses Xp
